Anglers have been waiting for years for Daiwa to release a new version of the Daiwa Saltiga Star Drag Reels! Finally they are here. The new Saltiga star drag has gotten a full makeover. With its one-piece aluminum frame and sideplate, the Saltiga is strong yet lightweight. Daiwa has upped the corrosion resistant bearing count to eight, making these reels incredibly smooth and corrosion resistant.

With a sealed Mag Sealed bearing and ATD drag, this Saltiga baitcasting reel is the most advanced in its class. This powerful reel retrieves 1 to 1.19 m of line per turn of the crank. Ideal for slow-jigging in deep water. Its low foot allows the angler to wrap the reel in his hand for a firm hold. Its high-capacity spool and powerful, progressive drag make it ideal for fighting fish. The reel is equipped with a noisemaker pawl to lock the spool in the event of snagging on the bottom.
